My Journey to Capturing Family Photoshoots in Huntsville, AL
My journey with photography began shortly before my daughter was born. After she was born I was constantly capturing pictures of her and constantly was wanting to learn more. I began taking photography courses learning to shoot in manual mode, edit photos, pose clients, and then in 2025 Kelsea Adams Photography was born. I started Kelsea Adams Photography in March 2025 just after moving to Huntsville, AL. One of my favorite parts about doing a family photoshoot in Huntsville AL is having the opportunity to capture lasting memories for each family. It is truly an honor to be welcomed to capture photos your family will treasure for a lifetime.
Why I loving being a Huntsville AL Family Photographer
There are so many beautiful locations for a family photoshoot in Huntsville, AL. For a modern, urban vibe I love shooting in Downtown Huntsville. There’s beautiful buildings and trees to capture amazing photos. It is my favorite location for senior photos due to the ability to walk just a few blocks and look like we are shooting in a completely different location. Downtown Huntsville offers a lot of variety for senior portraits.
For more of a nature vibe, I love shooting at Hays Preserve. This is one of my favorite locations for shooting family sessions as a Huntsville family portrait photographer. Hays Preserve offers big open fields away from roads that make it a great spot to be able to capture natural, genuine photos of young children.
My Approach to Family Portrait Photography in Huntsville AL
My approach to family portrait photography is to create natural photos that capture authentic personalities and emotion. I edit photos to be more light and airy and love to give my clients prompts rather then stiff poses for pictures. Some common prompts I use during a family photoshoot in Huntsville, AL are: run and give mom and dad a big hug, hold hands and walk towards me but only look at members of your family, and look at mom and tell her how much you love her!
