Whether you’re outgoing and confident in front of the camera or feeling a little nervous about posing, don’t worry!!! I guide you through the entire session so your photos feel natural, relaxed, and authentic. My natural and relaxed approach helps to make your senior photos feel natural and your personality shine even if you aren't sure where to put your hands or how to stand. I promise I guide you the entire time without it feeling over posed!

A Note to the seniors
Whether this is your first or last baby graduating I know senior year is filled with so many emotions! This season is full of excitement, pride, anticipation, and maybe even a little disbelief at how quickly this season arrived. Senior portraits are about so much more than yearbook photos. They’re about preserving who your child is right now!! Their senior portrait photography session will be designed to capture their personality, confidence, accomplishments, and the season your family is living in together.
My goal is to create a stress-free experience for both seniors and parents from start to finish. I help make the whole process feel easy and organized by helping with location planning, outfit guidance, natural posing and genuine moments throughout the entire process! When should I book my senior portraits?
The best time to book your Huntsville senior portrait session is the summer leading up to your senior year. This might seem early, but it's great for schedules before all the senior year activities begin. You will also have your photos back early for any yearbook deadlines, graduation announcements, etc. Although early into your senior year is the best for scheduling I shoot senior sessions all year round. You can inquire anytime about booking your senior portraits!
Where do senior sessions take place?
Senior sessions take place throughout Huntsville, Madison, and North Alabama. Whether you love downtown Huntsville, open fields, nature trails, or Huntsville Botanical Gardens we will work together to choose a location that fits your personality and style.
What should I wear for my senior session?
I always recommend outfits that feel comfortable, confident, and true to your personal style. All my senior sessions include at least 2-3 outfits. My general recommendation for senior portraits is one casual look, one dressy look, and then a sports/band uniform. For example, your outfits could look like blouse & jeans, long maxi dress, and a soccer uniform. Overall, I recommend outfits you feel confident in and mix up the colors a little between each outfit to get a diverse senior gallery.
Can I bring multiple outfits?
Of course!!! All my senior portrait sessions include at least 2-3 outfits. This allows for options to create a mix of casual, dressy, sporty, or personality-focused looks throughout the session.
Will you help me pose? I never know how to stand.
Absolutely!! I hear this quite often! I’ll guide you through natural movement and easy posing so your photos feel relaxed, confident, and genuinely you.
Can parents or siblings come to the session?
Yes! Parents are always welcome and I request at least 1 parent present for all high school senior portrait sessions. I also have the option of adding on a 15 minute family mini session before or after your senior session. This is the perfect opportunity to get all your photos done at once. Not to mention getting updated family photos before your senior is off to their next chapter after high school.
What happens if the weather is bad?
I always try to avoid rescheduling, but if the weather is bad I will reach out to reschedule. I know how important your senior portraits are and I want you to have beautiful weather for the day of your session. I'm always in communication with you the week of your session and keeping an eye on the forecast. Also, know that even if it's not raining, clouds, fog, wind and recent rain can all affect your session and vary depending on the session location.
How long does a senior session last?
Session length depends on the package you choose. My Huntsville senior sessions are 1 - 1.5 hours long!
Do you photograph seniors outside of Huntsville?
Yes! Kelsea Adams Photography serves seniors throughout Huntsville, Madison, Athens, Decatur, and surrounding North Alabama communities. I am also available for traveling outside this area as well.
