Family Sessions Include:
You don’t need perfectly behaved kids or stiff posing for beautiful family photos. The best images usually come from the natural in-between moments. The photos that capture the laughter, movement, cuddles, and connection that happen naturally when your family feels comfortable together. I know family photos can sometimes feel overwhelming to plan especially with young toddlers. Your session doesn’t have to feel stressful to create beautiful images though!
My approach is relaxed and playful so your family can spend less time worrying about perfect poses and more time simply enjoying being together. I will give prompts to help capture the giggles, hand-holding, and tickles. These are often the moments you’ll treasure most years from now. My sessions with young toddlers are specifically designed around what they are wanting to do. My goal is to capture smiles and natural moments for your family! Some sessions look like siblings playing tag, running as fast as they can to hug mom, or telling their sibling a silly joke.
Throughout the entire process I help with outfit planning and guiding simple prompts during your session. I’m here to create a relaxed experience that allows your family’s personality and connection to shine naturally.

Yayyy you're ready to book!! I'm so excited. Take a look at dates that are available from the link in the booking guide, sign the session contract and a 50% deposit is required to book.

What should we wear for family photos?
I recommend selecting a color scheme with about 3 colors for family photos. Typically at least 1-2 of these should be a neutral color. Additionally, I recommend avoiding neon colors, large patterns, and any llarge ogos on clothing. If you have any questions about outfits please send me an email. I'm always happy to provide outfit guidance and recommendations specific to your family!
What if my kids don’t cooperate?
My sessions are designed to feel relaxed and playful so kids can be themselves while we capture genuine moments together. We will do our best to capture beautiful photos of your family that will create lasting memories. I tailor my sessions directly around children when they are young toddlers. We will talk all about their favorite things, turn the session into a game, tell silly jokes, or have a family tickle fight to try to capture some authentic natural smiles!
Where do family sessions take place?
Family sessions take place throughout Huntsville, Madison, and North Alabama, including outdoor fields, parks, nature trails, and downtown Huntsville locations. When you book your session you will have the option of selecting a location from a curated list of suggestions. If you have a specific location in mind please don't hesitate to reach out to me.
When is the best time for family photos in Huntsville?
Fall is definitely the most popular between the beautiful weather and wanting to update photos for family photos. This can be a tricky time for scheduling family sessions with a photographer though because fall is the busiest season! There will be less flexibility and availability when working with schedules. Spring and summer are also beautiful times of the year for family photos. They include vibrant green grass and potentially flowers in bloom depending on the location.
What is your turn around time?
My turn around time for photos is within 30 days of your session although galleries are typically delivered sooner.
What is required to book?
To book your session a 50% deposit is required to book. The remainder will be due the day of your session.
