What’s the best time of year for senior portraits in North Alabama?

The best time of year to book your session with a North Alabama senior photographer is the summer leading up to senior year or the fall of your senior year. The first reason for this is the weather and sunlight. Your session will take place roughly 1.5 to 2 hours prior to sunset. Booking in the summer or fall allows us to use the extended sunlight to have the session later in the evening giving time to get ready after school. The warmer temperatures are also typically nicer than the cold during the winter months. Lastly, this will also give you plenty of time to receive your pictures back to have them for yearbooks, graduation announcements and more!

How long do senior sessions last?

My North Alabama senior sessions last anywhere from 1-2 hours depending on the package you select and the number of locations for your session. For any session it is important to please arrive on time as I shoot with natural light. Your session will be scheduled around the sunlight and time of sunset, so it is important we have the full length of time prior to it getting dark.

Can I bring props or outfit changes to my senior session?

Yes! As a North Alabama senior photographer some props that I recommend bringing if you’d like are your cap and gown, music instrument, sports equipment, or sports uniform. You may also want to consider bringing any cords or medals you will be wearing at graduation. If you want a cap and gown included, but haven’t received yours yet – reach out to me. We can work together on getting one for your session.

How many outfits can I bring to my senior session?

The number of outfits changes for your session depends on the senior session package you choose to book. My North Alabama senior sessions vary from 2-4 outfits depending on the package.

How long does it take to get my senior portraits back?

I guarantee portraits back within 30 days of your session, although I always try to get them back as soon as possible!
