As a Huntsville senior photographer I have a few tips for booking your senior pictures in Huntsville AL that will help to make your overall experience incredible!
- Book Early!! – The best time to book senior portraits is the summer leading up to senior year or the fall of your senior year. This time of year tends to be less busy for graduating seniors and you will have your photos back early for yearbook deadlines, graduation announcements and more! Also, senior photographers schedules get very busy the closer it gets to graduation. Booking early will give you more selection in dates that are available and the ability to schedule with your favorite photographer! Summer and fall also allows for sessions to take place later because the sunset is later in the evening, which tends to work well with graduating seniors schedules.
- Your outfits matter SO MUCH!!! – The outfits you select for your senior portraits are going to be a huge factor in your photos! I recommend sticking with pastel, neutral or jewel toned colors when selecting outfits. Avoid neon colors as they reflect back onto skin tones. I also recommend avoiding bold prints and large logos. Some outfits that photograph beautifully are jeans and blouses, long maxi style dresses, and rompers or jumpsuits. Before your session I provide more tips on selecting outfits and am available to assist with selecting outfits.
- Have fun! – Overall have fun and try not to be nervous about your senior portraits. I will guide you through poses and what to do during our entire session. If you are having fun and embracing your natural personality it will truly show throughout your photos!
