Planning a senior portrait session is a great way to capture these memories for a lifetime. My goal with Kelsea Adams Photography senior sessions is to capture authentic, natural portraits that showcase the senior’s personality and this season in life.

What to Wear: Styling Tips for Your Senior Session

The outfits chosen for your senior session are SO IMPORTANT! I know this may sound dramatic, but it is so true. The colors and style outfits your chose for your session play such a big piece in your final photos. The good news is I offer several tips and help to guide you with exactly what to wear for your session. Once your session is booked I’m only a text away too. Not sure if an outfit will photograph well – shoot me a message and we can work together to plan the perfect outfits for your session.

My senior packages offer anywhere from 2-4 outfits for senior sessions. When planning outfits the top things to consider are variety, color, and style. When thinking about variety consider adding a variety of outfits between dresses, skirts, and jeans. Also, add variety in the colors you chose across each outfit. Pastel colors or deep jewel toned colors photograph beautifully. I always caution clients against wearing bright neon colors. These colors will reflect back onto your skin, which is not what we want. Also, consider where your session is taking place. Huntsville offers a lot of beautiful green grass and full trees, but you may want to be mindful of wearing green if your session is taking place in a giant field such as Hays Preserve.

If you are worried about posing or knowing what to do for your senior session you can rest assured that I will guide you through your entire session. I will help walk you through poses and guide you during the whole session. Most of my poses are very simple and casual. This helps things to be very easy, but also feel natural during the whole session. I’m all about letting your true personality shine through while guiding you through your session.

Your Senior Gallery: Delivery & Ordering Details

You will receive your final edited photos within 30 days of your session. Your gallery will be delivered through a link to your email. The link will take you directly to your gallery where you will be able to download, share with family and friends, print your photos and more. All my sessions allow you full access to download all your photos without watermarks making it easy to save to your phone and share with family, friends or on social media. My only request is that you please don’t alter the photos, so no adding filters. You will be able to print your photos directly from your gallery or print them at a store of your choice. I always recommend printing from the gallery directly though. This is a high quality print shop that will give you the most true to color photos plus they get delivered directly to your door. In addition, the print shop allows you to order products such as canvases, framed photos, albums, holiday cards, graduation announcements and more!
